Drew took the call and knows the guy asked specifically for the girl who drives the Mini Cooper....Gabie. Kayla's car is found with her missing and all her possession casually left in the car. Pizza boxes on the ground and what appears to be a struggle near the river where her car is found. Everyone believes she was attacked and left to the raging river waters, carried out and never to be seen again. What we know is that Kayla is very much alive and trying her best to survive.
While reading this book I felt like I could have been watching this unfold in real life. I'm a big fan of television crime dramas and TNSD felt like an episode of Criminal Minds but in my hands! The arrogant cop, the volunteer divers, the distraught parents, the creep, the youths no one wants to give any merit, they all made this book work.
I have to say this novel was captivating. There was just enough suspense to keep my interest and have me turning page after page, but it wasn't so intense that I felt my head would pop from the pressure. We get several viewpoints in the book and I always like the diversity that brings to a story. We can be in multiple places at once and get more emotion and thoughts that truly enrich the story.
Make time for this book, it is entertaining. 4STARS!
