What girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though - she leads them as the captain and quarterback on her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys, and that's just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university. But now there's a new guy in town who threatens her starring position on the team... and has her suddenly wishing to be seen as more than just a teammate. (goodreads)
Review:
Holy High School Football! This book it ridiculously entertaining! Jordan is the quarterback of her high school football team. She is ranked best in the state and has BIG plans for a college football career. She has always been accepted by her teammates/buddies, pretty much the ONLY friends she has. How does a high school girl get by without a girlfriend? Who needs one when you've got your bff Parker (receiver on the team) and JJ (the center)?? Oh and there is...okay they are all guys and all her teammates so she is pretty clueless when new boy Ty (and star quarterback from Texas) shows up and is CUTE and makes her feel different. Unfortunately Jordan's main focus is getting Alabama to accept her and let her play football, so she manages to botch a lot of normal high school girl situations.
The dialog between Jordan and her buddies/teammates is epic! So fun, laugh out loud hilarious and very real. Her relationship that blooms is a bit creepy. I think the beau is a bit possessive and that is a major turn-off for me. I do love her bff Parker. Their relationship is awesome, believable and every girls dream. I felt the story flowed so well and just gripped me from the start. I could not put the book down! The ending was not all fairy tale and perfect, but it was what I would call real world! Over all a very refreshing read. 4Stars!
